125 West 3rd Street, also known as the Z.T. Piercy Building is a 3-story residential loft building with retail in the base, and was completed in 1919 as a garage. Designed by Frank E. Vitolo, the building is steel based and clad in beige brick with the ground floor painted grey. The upper floors have been converted to lofts and the ground floor is occupied by retailer Ace Hardware/Benjamin Moore Paints. Below the roof parapet is a terra-cotta panel with the original owner's name, Z.T. Piercy. The parapet is raised at the ends and has stone coping. The open space of Washington Square Park is less than a block away as is West 4 St-Washington Square Station with access to the A, C, E, B, D, F, M subway lines.
